These are the people deemed to be of wise counsel and looked to for such from time to time when needed. There is also the requirement of 6th Degree Black belt or higher to be on the advisory board.
Senior Master Rainey began his Kenpo Karate Training under Kenpo Grandmasters Dave Hebler and Jim Thompson in the fall of 1972 at Mt San Antonio College Tiger & Dragon Club. He was teaching within months under their tutelage. Through testing, teaching, competition and constant rigorous training with his Stable Mate Senior Master Paul Dye, Mr. Rainey earned his Black Belt from Founder and Senior Grandmaster Ed Parker by the summer of 1974. That same week he was also Belted in BKF by Grandmaster Ron Chapel whom he credits with honing his competitive fighting abilities. For the last 46 years, Mr. Rainey has continued to teach Kenpo at a high level of Proficiency taking breaks only for family and career goals. He has had the privilege to teach his brothers and sons as well as a cadre of Black Belts and watch them all excel in their teaching in their own right. Two of those teachers are Masters Todd Durgan & Rich Hale both of whom teach locally, nationally and internationally and are acclaimed great Kenpoists in their own right and continue to humble Mr. Rainey.
Senior Master Rainey has served in the military where his skills kept him and others safe. Later he also served as a Public servant teaching those same skills to other public safety officers as well as teaching men, women, and children both self defense and Kenpo.
In 2013 Mr. Rainey was awarded the Master status by the Kenpo community. The following
year He was recognized by his peers and inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame.
In 2019 Senior Master Rainey was awarded the Senior Master status by the Kenpo community.
Senior Master Rainey to this day still exudes a fascination and excitation when watching a white belt or anyone realize their full potential, and he loves teaching one-on-one. His goal is to teach his art and watch his students become as good or better than Senior Master Rainey at the Martial Art of Kenpo.
under Sterling Peacock. Prior to that Mr. Prosser was an amateur boxer in the local boxing club under his
father, winning several city titles and going on to win inland empire titles. Mr. Prosser happened to sit in
on a Kenpo class that Mr. Danzer was teaching ( with boxing influence integrated into his teaching style)
and immediately wanted to learn the system. !
Mr Prosser earned his 1st degree black belt from Terry Danzer in 1981. Mr Prosser trained with Master
Dan Kaufman through out his early years of Kenpo ( Dan Kaufman is a direct student of Master Skip
Hancock). Mr Prosser was an instructor of the Coeur d’ Alene Karate and boxing club under Master
Sterling Peacock ( Mat David) and received his 2nd. and 3rd. blacks under Sterling Peacock. Mr. Prosser
began studying with Senior Grand Master Al Tracy and received several more advancements under the
Tracy system. Mr. Prosser is very fotunate to train under his good friend Grand Master Ralph Casteelanos
(9 time world champion) to present . !
In 1986 Mr. Prosser relocated to Nevada bringing his teaching methods of American Kenpo combined
with his boxing style witch created a very street affective style to his students. In 1992 Mr. Prosser was
fortunate to meet Senior Grand Master Dave Hebler ( 7th. under Mr. Parker at the time) and has been a
student to present earning his 8th. black from Mr, Hebler in June of 2013. !
Mr. Prosser has competed in tournaments through out the Northwest, Northern California and Nevada
along with his students with great success winning state championships in sparring and weapons but most
success has come from the free style full contact tournaments winning numerous matches in the ring from
smokers ( friday night boxing matches) to kick boxing. !
Mr. Prosser has trained hundreds of students throughout the years in street smart Kenpo. A method of
training that teaches to think of the art as an offense style versus the defense style, when its time to react,
explode now! We train our students to strike first, strike hard and get out. Physical fitness is a priority, 50% of training. Motto “ how you train in the gym is how you will fight in the street” !

Milt Guinette started his martial arts journey in 1969, at age 8, with Cliff Close and Rich Brown in San Rafael, CA. He studied Kenpo Karate and earned the Shodan rank (1st Black) in 1979.
After relocating to Vancouver, WA. In the very early 1980’s. he continued his study of Kenpo with John Ellis and Al and Pat Tracy. (who were located in Belleview Wa. At that time) Milt has operated Kenpo schools in Vancouver, WA. and Hillsboro, OR. His association with Mr. Ellis has endured to this day and they still enjoy 40+ year teacher/student friendship.
Milt has also studied Kosho-Ryu Kempo, extensively, with Bruce Juchnik-Hanshi and Kurt Van Sickle-Shihan. He received a teaching certificate in Kosho-Ryu, from Juchnik-Hanshi in early 1996. Much of the conceptual teachings he shares comes from his study of Kosho-Ryu.
In 2001, he joined an American Kenpo school operated by Dave Hebler in Hillsboro, OR. He taught there for two years until the school was purchased by Jason Brick and became Bushido Martial Arts. American Kenpo (Dave Hebler’s Original American Kenpo) was the system taught at that school. Milt served as Chief Instructor of Bushido Martial Arts until early 2009.
In 2008 he developed the Society for Kenpo Studies association to fill the void left when Bushido Martial Arts closed up shop. Milt ran and grew the organization for 15 years. During that time he had the opportunity to travel and train with some spectacular Kenpoists. Those practitioners include, but are not limited to, Mr. Ted Sumner, Mr. Todd Durgan (of the PKKA), Mr. Jeff Jones, Mr. AC Rainey, Mr. Dave Hebler, Mr. Jason Jones, and of course Mr. Ellis.
The year 2023 marked another chapter in his martial arts journey. For various reasons Milt decided to desolve the Society for Kenpo Studies after a strong 15 year run. In a stroke of good fortune Mr. Durgan, a board member of the SKS and founder of the Phasic Kombatives Kenpo Alliance, agreed to take the SKS leadership and any SKS members who wished to join under the PKKA umbrella. There is now a new modern place to call home. Thank you Mr. Durgan!
Although Milt has studied various Kenpo styles he considers himself primarily a Tracy’s Kenpo practitioner. He has enjoyed a decades long affiliation with Tracy’s and is supportive of the Tracy’s Kenpo Executive Advisory Council where he currently serves as an associate member. Milt was inducted into the Kenpo International Hall of Fame, as a Sustaining member, in 2009 at the GOE event in Chicago. He was awarded a Lifetime Achievment Award in 2011 at the GOE event in Las Vegas. Although he has slowed down some Milt still enjoys teaching seminars and sitting on testing boards. He looks forward to seeing future generations of Tracy’s Kenpo practitioners study and progress.
