Im glad I finally registered

In the later phase of pregnancy, about 4 months before the delivery, back pains are expected to occur.
However, this problem is just manageable. Posture modification techniques together with exercise seem to be efficient pregnancy back pain relief tactics. This article will point out the methods that would keep the discomfort away.

What Causes the Problem?

1.

Increased weight. With the list of items that causes back pain, weight gain is a leading factor. The additional mass is gained because of the developing baby inside the uterus. The growth of human inside the womb pushes the body forward which triples the pressure on the lower back.
As the pressure increase, so does pain.

2. Hormonal contributions. Hormones are increased to maintain gestation before delivery takes place. Although these natural body chemicals tend to do good generally, in pregnancy it also causes the muscles, ligaments and joints to relax. The changes in the normal attribute of these structures can bring about pain when moving.

Recommendations to Achieve Pregnancy Back Pain Relief

Always practice good sitting, standing and bending posture.

During the gestational period it is a normal bodily response to sway the back due to the pressure of the growing baby which causes the body to move forward. When this happens, the most affected and pressured body part is the lower back. As a result, pains are experienced by the woman.
Unfortunately, a huge number of pregnant women do have a poor standing posture.

These individuals tend to slouch their backs and held their chest down. Slouching further aggravates the discomfort. Hence, it is important to keep the back tall and straight. The chest should also be held high and the shoulders are rolled back. When a job requires lengthy hours of standing, it is recommended to use a low-step stool and have one foot rest on it alternately.

Asking for frequent breaks when working during gestation is also good. Standing too long is not good for pregnant women.

When sitting, pillows should be placed on the lower back to serve as support. Having a comfort on this area offers comfort to the stressed back muscles.
A poor sitting posture can shortened muscles surrounding the lower spine, thereby causing pain when moving. Keeping the neck and upper back aligned when sitting is a good practice. However, do not overdo it as one may feel a bit uncomfortable when trying to rest. Both feet may be rested in a low step stool to further relax tensed muscles and promote good venous return.

Wear low-heeled or flat shoes. In addition to increase risk to falls when wearing high-heeled footwear, an added pressure on the lower back is produced when these are worn during pregnancy.

Most women who are used to wearing high-heels usually complain about this recommendation. However, health, being the priority, should not be compromised just over some fashion reasons.
