The Ctistae of ancient Thrace refused to eat something alive, eating solely by-products/foodstuffs like milk and honey. If you're raised in a time of extreme moral nihilism except for not liking the several historic occasions you're told that matter (normally slavery and the Holocaust), obviously you are going to glom on to what seems to be most like them: chickens in chains and sheep being led to slaughter like sheep to slaughter. When you're given to your acceptance some inane religious platitudes like "equality" and "rights" together with vaguely Marxist notions of "exploitation" and "slavery" and "oppressed classes," it appears perfectly affordable to develop that language to the relationship between predators (people) and their prey (many animals) (or perhaps pets too). I'm wondering whether or not the Empress of the French, who is answerable for the introduction of the style;-whether or not our Queen, who's, it appears, not supreme in the world of English fashion;-whether or not the high-spirited younger ladies of the aristocracy, who conceal their slavery to the mode underneath an air of wilfulness, ever solid a thought in the direction of the humbler orders of their own sex, whose lives they put in peril by their caprices. As extra influential figures began to determine themselves as feminist, social media noticed a rise in younger Black feminists willing to bring racist and sexist conditions to mild.
